Are you interested in scuba diving, but unsure how you’ll feel underwater? Why not try a “taster” session with us before committing to a course? We run regular ‘Try-dive’ nights where a qualified instructor will take you in the pool with scuba gear to let you get a feel for what it’s like. It’s safe, exciting and great fun!
These evenings kick off at 7pm with a presentation about our club, including our affiliation to BSAC (the British Sub-Aqua Club), the training we offer, and the diving we do both in the UK and abroad. You’ll then get in the pool for a short swim test (just a few lengths and a duck dive to retrieve an object from the deep end) followed by a snorkelling lesson, after which we get you into scuba gear to experience what it’s like to breathe underwater for the first time!
All you need to bring on the night are a towel, swimming attire, and an old T-shirt (the thicker the better) to help keep you a bit warmer in the water. If you’re interested, send us a message and we’ll let you know when the next Try-dive night is scheduled. It costs £15 but this is refunded should you choose to join our club.
